The Hobby Zone Duet is a very inexpensive introduction to the R/C hobby since it comes with its own Transmitter, which also charges the 1.7 Volt batteries it uses.  Out doors, it is best to fly it when the wind is calm.  Indoors, it's best to keep it away from walls and ceilings, as its molded foam parts can break.  The two small motors are used to steer it by differential thrust. The elevator, along with the throttle, adjusts the climb.

Wing span is 20.6 inches and wing area approximately 57 square inches. Airframe weight (with wheels) is 36 grams and battery weight is 6 grams, for a total weight of 42 grams.  Wing loading is higher than a rubber band powered plane of similar size, so the duet must fly faster. The 150mAh battery (1S LiPo) gives flight time of near 1o minutes.  I've flown the Duet in indoor soccer fields with fairly high ceilings.
