Scale planes attempt to resemble a full scale prototype. more or less faithfully. Planes entered in some competitions under Flying aces Club rules are judged for resemblance to a particular aircraft, and documentation showing that source aircraft must be submitted. Other classes where judging criteria are less stringent are also flown.
